Good Afternoon Stampers,
Just wanted to share a quick post today showing a Christmas card I made. After all it is only 35 Days till the big day! Yikes...really, I've got to get busy...
I really love gingerbread and have had a gingerbread tree in my kitchen for many years. The aroma of gingerbread says Christmas to me, as much as Cinnamon and Pine. So you know I just had to have this set, and papers, and ribbon, and washi....LOL
All the ingredients for this card are found in the 2016 Holiday Catalog, except the embossing folder.
This card uses Crumb Cake Paper as the card base, Real red as the next layer and whisper white as the card front. The gingerbread house is cut from the DSP paper...sooooo cute!
The embossing folder is found in the Annual Stampin' Up Catalog.
It is called Softly Falling, item # 139672, pg 195. It makes just the prettiest snowy backgrounds. The ribbon is real red and crumb cake silky taffeta . The bakers twine is real red and it is in the Holiday catty. The gumdrops are washi tape that coordinates with this set. That's what I love most about Stampin' Up, everything coordinates and it takes all the color guesswork away, and you can just concentrate on Creating!!
The striped background of the photo is a sheet that also comes from the DSP pack. Hope you enjoy and it inspires you to make some Christmas cards!
Below are a couple of cards that were created by other artists.
Lisa Curcio at www.lisasstampstudio.com
She has used the Cookie Cutter Christmas set as well as the DSP.
It has several cookie cutouts with a coordinating punch..Santa is one of them!
Not sure who the creator of this card is. But it sure is cute! It uses the new Stitched Thinlets for the square cut out.
